Seattle “Pay What You Can” Meisner Acting Playdate!

Playhouse Northwest Acting School’s “Pay What You Can” Acting Playdate on Thursday, Sept 22nd from 7-9:30 pm.

This is an in-person class. There will be an after-party with snacks and cake. It’s a great way to kick off the fall, get back into school and reconnect. Hope to see you! All are welcome.

The playdate is open to actors of all skill levels.

** (Meisner experience not mandatory)

Each class starts with fun/warm-up exercises that branch out to Meisner’s basic foundation work, Improvisation, and Cold Reading Skills. And for those who have monologues and/or scenes they want to work on, they are welcome to bring them in too. Advanced Meisner students are welcome to work at their own level.

At the end of each class, audition and resume feedback is available on request to students who have upcoming auditions.

Meisner Online Acting Classes (Fall Quarter)

Playhouse Northwest Acting School has now opened registration for the 2022 Meisner Online Acting Classes. (Fall Quarter) October 11th – Dec 6th

The structured Meisner classes are the backbone of what we do. These classes are designed to be taken in sequence. At each level, on-camera, improvisational, and business skills will be interwoven into the curriculum.

There will be 2 classes offered.
Beginner (Level 1 only) will be on Tues nights from 7:00-9:30 pm beginning October 4th
Advanced, (Level 2-4) those with experience, will be Thursday nights 7:00-9:30 pm. beginning October 6th

If youâ€™re serious about transforming your acting, this is the place to start. For professional actors in film and television, itâ€™s no secret that Meisner work is their superpower in both their life and their career. The benefits include a greater sense of truth, emotional depth, and flexibility in your work.

Beginners and experienced students are welcome. Outside practice is required. Students will work individually at their own level and will grow at their own rate.

These interactive meetings will take place LIVE on ZOOM.

The classes will meet 7:00 PM-9:30 PM PST. If a makeup or extra class is needed it will be held the following week. If you have to miss a class you are welcome to request a recording.

Price: $375

Guest Instructor Kendall Wells

Kendall Wells has been a student of Anthony De Longis since 2004,and taught his system since 2008. He is also an instructor of Shinkendo Japanese Swordsmanship, studying since 2007. Kendall is a professional actor, stunt performer, and fight coordinator. Credits include The Russo Brothers; The Gray Man, HBO Our Flag Means Death, Tom Clancy,Jack Ryan, Amazon Hunters, and more.
